Koru Life
Live your life. Change another.
Do you live to surf? Maybe you live to run, or live to snowboard. Whatever activity it is that you live to do, Koru Life is a chance to turn it into something more!
Koru Life is our fundraising initiative that allows you to create and host an event based around your passion. Raise funds for cancer survivors just by getting out and doing what you love! We’ll help you every step of the way.
How it works:
1. Create your event
The sky is the limit! Anything you live to do can be turned into a fundraiser, but some activities that have been successful before include running, cycling, yoga, kayaking, snowboarding, hiking, and kiteboarding.
2. Solidify the details
Try to consider date, time, weather, location, and local laws and permits, if applicable.
3. Set up your page
We use Rally Up for all digital fundraising activities. Get in touch with us (on the form below) to set up your fundraising page. You’ll receive a unique fundraising page, and help on how to create & customize it.
4. Set your goal
We suggest a minimum fundraising goal of $2,000, which covers the general cost of sending 1 young adult survivor to Camp Koru. You're welcome to raise more if you'd like! It is fun to create competition around who can raise the most funds!
5. Share your why
Reach out to friends, family, and your social media network to let them know what you’re doing and why they should donate!
6. Koru Life Merch
Participants in your fundraiser are able to win special Koru Life & Project Koru merch after raising designated minimums listed on the event’s Rally Up fundraising page.

Meet Lucky
“As a survivor and camper who has experienced the magic of Koru, I talk about Koru all the time to my friends and family. So much so that my best friend who owns a bar decided to do a golf outing and have the proceeds go to Project Koru.
So I helped him. We made a flyer that has some pictures, the Koru mission statement, and my story on it, and stapled it together into a little packet that we dropped off at local businesses around town.
Around 90 people ended up showing up, and we raised $10,000 for Koru.”
