Claudia and Dave Raleigh

We are Dave and Claudia Raleigh from Corvallis. Our oldest son, Seth was diagnosed with brain cancer in 2015 and died January 2, 2020. He was just shy of his 37th birthday.

While working to stay positive and active with a terminal illness, he found out about Project Koru. He participated in a camp on Maui and found it to be extremely helpful and supportive. Next to his family and friends, the folks he met through Project Koru were the most important people in his life. They gave him hope, a community that understood the challenges he was facing and multiple reasons to stay positive and not let cancer define him.

We decided that paying for someone to attend a Project KORU camp each year in his memory is the best way to honor him and all who are living with cancer. As Seth often said, "Cancer sucks, but life is amazing!" Project KORU helped him hold on to and appreciate the amazing things in his life.
